The best pick when it comes to Samsung Gear Smartwatches

Samsung revealed their Gear smartwatch device in September 2013 at IFA, and the next generation, namely Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit were announcted at MWC.

The first Samsung smartwatch was the Gear Live which was launched in March, a few months before the Samsung Gear S appeared.

1.

Samsung Gear S

What is great about Samsung Gear S smartwatch is the fact that you can use it without having to carry your smartphone around. The Samsung Gear S is an independent device, with its own SIM card which you will be using for the 3G connectivity.

Moreover, it has an elegant design, with a sharp look, it has a 2 inch curved display. If you are using it for your running, it also has a very accurate GPS connectivity.

The price of this device is to be confirmed in October. You should order the device if you are looking for the best smartwatch on the market.

2. Samsung Gear Live

The Samsung Gear Live looks similar with the Gear 2 Neo, excepting the different position of the physical button and also the fact that one doesn't have an infrared LED.

Samsung Gear Live has a 1.63 inch display with a 320 x 320 resolution and it will obviously work with any Android smartphone.

The price of the smartwatch is £169 and you should buy it if you are looking for an Android compatible smartwatch that runs smoothly.

3. Samsung Gear Fit

What recommends the Samsung Gear Fit is the beautifully curved 1.84 inch display, which also rotates so you can place it portrait or landscape, whatever position suits you best.

The only issue with the Samsung Gear Fit, is that even if it look so good, it is not such a good fitness tracker. Of course it has the regular functions of step counting, runs tracking and so on, but it has a low accuracy.

You can buy the device for £149 if you want a smartwatch that just looks like a fitness tracker, but its not working the other way around: a fitness tracker that has smartwatch functions.

4. Samsung Gear 2

It looks better than the former smartwatches, with a fashionable edges over the plastic finish. It has a 1.63 inch screen, 320 x 320 resolution and a 2MP camera for shooting pictures on the run.

The price of the device is £249 and you should buy it if you want to have a small camera on your watch, and it has a nice design and a good display.

5. Samsung Gear 2 Neo

Samsung Gear 2 Neo is probably the best average both smartwatch and fitness tracker. You can see your notifications and monitor your heart rate at the same time. The smartwatch costs only £159 and you should buy it if you are looking for a device which supports over 1000 apps and it is cheaper than the Samsung Gear S.

6. Samsung Galaxy Gear

The launching of Samsung Galaxy Gear was probably only a beating-Apple-to-market strategy. The device it is true that it has a front camera, but its mainly useless. The price of the device is £299 and you should buy it if you are a first generation device collector.
